Vegan lifestyle, day 7

Day 7:

Well, I fell off the wagon. My sweet tooth got the better of me and I made what I thought was going to be a Vegan chocolate sauce. The chocolate I used had milk in it……… and I ate it anyway. I felt my vibration drop significantly even with this small amount of animal product. I have also realized that this is not going to be just a 21 day cleanse, it is a life change and a huge one!

At first I thought it would be the meat that I was going to have a hard time with, but it has not been that bad. I don’t miss it nearly as much as the milk products. Cheese, milk, creamy stuff, chocolate- that I absolutely love!   I never realized how much products are invaded with animal products. Especially with milk, and anchovies! I have never been a label reader before when buying food. It has been a huge change for me and now my shopping seems to be taking forever to get done. I feel like instead of a normal learning curve I’m in a sharp 90 degree angle. I can understand now how Vegans normally choose to make everything from scratch. That way you know it is clean and you also know exactly what is in what you are consuming.

The basics for Vegan cooking is very different and I am having difficulty finding some of the staples that are used in the cookbooks I have chosen. Living in rural NC, I do not have a Trader Joes or Fresh Market close to me that carry things like Nutritional Yeast and Vegan mayo……. However I have been told of a farmers market that is not too far from me that is open on Saturday. I will be checking that out soon.

The significant drop on my vibration was very noticeable. Even with the small amount of milk with in the chocolate. I am now on the hunt for clean chocolate. The purchase of a few Vegan cook books has helped me relax a LOT. I don’t feel like I am flying blind- which was very hard and scary for me at first. In dedicating my body to God-Creator of all, the expression of his love through me has begun to increase. He has told me that this path would get easier and that the cravings would ease as I moved forward on this path. I am grateful for all who are reading this. Thank you for your support, thank you for your prayers, ideas, recipes and all you are. One of my first Vegan meals wa quinoa Mexican salad. I have never tried quinoa before. I like it! Here is what I mixed together – season to your liking!

Ingredients:

  • quinoa (cooked)
  • black beans
  • sweet onion
  • corn
  • black sliced olives
  • garlic
  • fresh cilantro
  • chives
  • parsley
  • salt
  • pepper
  • creole seasoning
  • chilly seasoning
  • fresh lime juice
